Shutterbug Photography Contest

Download an entry form here.

For our next Shutterbug Photography Contest, we want to know how our readers see the Volunteer State. That’s why we’re giving you the broad topic “Rural Tennessee” on which to focus. Photograph the people, places and things that define our state. Entries can include Tennesseans, historic sites, entertaining events — anything that signifies rural Tennessee to you.

So get your camera out and be on the lookout for that perfect “Tennessee” shot. This broad theme will give you plenty of room to be creative. Anything goes that describes the Volunteer State you love. Keep in mind that early morning and late afternoon usually have better-quality light than midday sun.

Judges will be looking for sharp images, good composition, interesting lighting and a relationship to our theme. Be sure to read the Shutterbug assignment, and please follow the guidelines. Winners will be published in the March issue of The Tennessee Magazine.
