44th Swiss Celebration

Stoker-Stampfli Farm Museum is one of only a few buildings remaining of the original Swiss colony of Gruetli. Admission is $5 per person, and children under 12 are free. Music will be provided under the pavilion by The Mountain Polka Band from North Carolina, complete with alphorn, accordion and bells. On the Rock with Dale Layne and his crew will do some superb harmonizing at lunch time.
You can tour the farm house, barn and other out buildings dating back to 1869. Vendors of food (brats and sauerkraut), crafts such as handmade children’s toys, handcrafted furniture, little boxes and pens. Area organizations will have displays as well as displays of old farming tools and accessories. You will find a yard sale, historical documents, and books and memorabilia will be on sale at the membership stand. There will be hay rides, tire swing, corn toss and a bounce house for kids. Come and join us for a day of Celebration and enjoy our wine and cheese tasting, dancing the polka (with lessons), soap making, yarn making and weaving.
