The 6th Annual Tennessee Poets Day -2022 will be a Hybrid – Virtual & On-site events and are bound to inspire Poets of all ages & stages.  The On-site Celebration will be On April, 30th, Saturday (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM) at the Williamson County Public Library (WCPL – Main Branch), Franklin, TN.

On-site Events Poets of all Ages can Sign up at the door: Apr. 30th Saturday.

The Tennessee Poets Day is an Annual “All Day POETRY” Events organized by Poets From the Neighborhood (PFTN) to Celebrate the National Poetry Month, as one of PFTN’s community outreach volunteer efforts.

ON-SITE EVENTs begin with Welcome & Opening Remarks by TN POETs DAY Founder /Organizer- Veera Dr. Rajaratnam S.; Opening Ceremony Speech by Honorable WC Mayor Rogers Anderson and PFTN Awards Presentation with WCPL manager Jeffie Nicholson. Events include Key-Note Poetry by Renowned TN POET Jeff Hardin, a Lecture by TN Poet Laureate Margaret Britton Vaughn on Poetry & Song-Writing, Authors Book Signing & Readings by Bill Brown, Catherine Moore, David M. Harris, Jeff Hardin, VeerajaR and Margaret B. Vaughn.

VIRTUAL Events (Pre-recorded & include PFTN’s Monthly Featured Poets and ‘JOYPOET’ VeerajaR in Conversation with Kory Wells – Murfreesboro’s Inaugural Poet Laureate on ‘Poetry & Beyond.’ These Virtual events are selected from PFTN’s Community Outreach Efforts thriving through the second year of Pandemic Social distancing. Readings by PFTN’s monthly Featured Poets include- KB. Ballentine, John Mannone, Barbara Young & Helga Kidder.

GUIDELINES: All POETRY for Reading on TN POETS Open Mics (Virtual or in-Person) and any programs of Poets From The Neighborhood (PFTN) Need to be 1) your Original Work, 2) Family Friendly and 3) of Clean language (no Profanity, please!). *There is NO AGE LIMIT!                             

**All TN POETs DAY Events & Open-Mic Poetry Open to Public will be Recorded by WC-TV, TN (to be Streamed On-Line)!
