Our Lineman Rodeo team brought home a trailer full of awards this year following skill and safety competitions at the annual Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo in Lenoir City.
We were represented in the overall placements for every category, something no other utility could claim.
Highlighting the 21 awards (the most by any single utility) earned by MTEMC was the first-place overall title in the senior division won by Woodbury’s Bo Asbury.
“I’m so proud of each team member,” said Chris Jones, MTEMC president/CEO. “All 19 of these guys worked hard to prepare, became closer as teammates and came here to compete. They represented us in an exceptional way. It was a great showing, and each and every team member was cheering his teammates on both in the competition and the awards ceremony. I also want to express my appreciation to Keith Davenport for his coordination and leadership for our rodeo team and Bubba Jones for his support.”
