Well known Middle Tennessee animal rescue New Leash on Life will host a one-day animal rescue workshop, The Business of Saving Lives. Presented in conjunction with the Helen Woodward Animal Center, The Business of Saving Lives event will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024. The all day event, which will run from 8 AM until 5 PM, will be held at the Tuckers Gap Event Center (2900 Callis Road, Lebanon, Tennessee).
The Business of Saving Lives is an event geared towards anyone involved in animal welfare, rescue and fundraising. The workshop will feature nationally-acclaimed animal welfare expert Mike Arms, CEO of Helen Woodward Animal Center in San Diego, California.
The Business of Saving Lives will include workshops focusing on such crucial issues as: Concrete and proven fundraising methods
Creative, out-of-the-box PR techniques
Social media best practices and audience engagement
In addition to offering an opportunity for rescues and shelters to win grants to help fund their rescue efforts, the one-day conference will explore targeted policies and methods for meeting and adapting to the changing needs of animals and the community.
