Fall for Summer Squash

Funny name. Delicious seasonal treat. Scrumptious, indeed.

Believe it or not, those summer squash plants are still going strong, and you just might be getting tired of preparing it on the grill by now. If so, adjust your recipes to include some fall casseroles and dishes that are served warm on these cooler nights. The transition is an inexpensive meal option that will stretch your food dollars to the max. As long as you keep picking, the plants will keep supplying plenty to harvest until the first frost.
