- Cut the ham into 1/4- to 3/8-inch slices.
- Do not trim any excess fat from the slices until after frying. Score the fat edges to prevent buckling.
- Place the slices in a lightly greased
cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
- Do not cover and fry slowly until both sides of the ham are very light brown.
Serve hot.
