Macadamia Pesto Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves loosely packed
- 1/2 cup salted macadamia nuts
- 4 cloves garlic peeled and minced
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
- 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Place the basil, macadamias and garlic in the bowl of a food processor. Process 2 to 3 minutes or until smooth, stopping to scrape the sides as needed. With the processor running, slowly pour the oil through the chute. Add the cheese, salt, black pepper and cayenne and process 3 seconds longer or until smooth. Use immediately or transfer to a rigid freezer container, label and freeze up to 9 weeks.
