Southern Cheese Straws Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Place the flour, butter and cheese in the bowl of a food processor. Cover and process until blended. Divide into four equal portions and shape into a ball. One at a time, place each dough ball between pieces of waxed paper and roll into a rectangle. Cut into 1-inch strips and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough. Sprinkle the strips evenly with the salt and pepper. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on wire racks before storing in tins.
