Vanilla Sugar Recipe

- Yield: 2 pints (Can easily be doubled or tripled)
- With a sharp paring knife, split the vanilla beans in half lengthwise. Place the halves in each pint canning jar (colored ones make this look nice). Fill each jar with 2 cups of sugar. Place the lid on the jar and tighten the screwband. Label and place in a cool, dark place. Shake every week. The sugar is ready to use in recipes after 4 months. When the sugar has been depleted, simply replace and repeat the process.
